The Equalizer is the first ladder with a fully integrated, innovative, factory-installed leveling system that promotes the safe use of an extension ladder on uneven ground. The Equalizer is so easy to use. Its leveler leg with the dual-channel holes allows the ladder to be adjusted in 3/8" increments up to 8-1/4" to help the user set the ladder accurately. A durable zinc-plated steel locking pin with the detent ball secures the leveler at the proper height, the pin stays put and so does the ladder. Another great feature is The Equalizers' bright blue inset surface with a built-in bubble level, the patent-pending EverLevel System, to help level the ladder side to side. The EverLevel bubble level is recessed into the rung and is resistant to cold temperatures and rugged use. Plus, the step's distinctive surface and color help the user know they are one step from the ground. The D1800-EQ series is the ladder of choice for painters, roofers, contractors and other professionals that appreciate that safety doesn't have to come at the expense of function and affordability.
