Arsenal's Catalan playmaker, Cesc Fabregas, is the subject of an injury scare ahead of a busy schedule for the Barclays Premier League leaders.
Spain international Fabregas went off with a hamstring problem during last night¡¯s 3-1 Champions League defeat at Sevilla, and Arsenal are still waiting to ascertain the full extent of the 20-year-old midfielder¡¯s injury.
He has been in outstanding form this season, chipping in with 11 goals and a hatful of assists in the Gunners' strong start to the season.
He was forced to miss last Saturday's 2-0 Premier League win at home to Wigan Athletic because he was serving a one-match suspension incurred for picking up five yellow cards this season.
But he was back to start Tuesday's Champions League tie in Andalucia, only to pull up and limp off with the hamstring problem.
That could rule him out of a hectic period of matches that starts with a trip to Aston Villa on Saturday and continues with visits to Newcastle and Middlesbrough before the Gunners come back to London for tough derbies against Chelsea and Spurs (both at home).
Manager Arsene Wenger will be desperately hoping that their top-scorer is not seriously hurt - especially as Alexander Hleb, Robin van Persie, Gael Clichy and Abou Diaby are all currently injured.
