Market Fitness will be holding an open day on Saturday and locals will be able to get first-hand advice on their fitness.
This will be the first open day of its kind in Wellington and with research showing Australians to be suffering severe health problems due to lack of fitness it provides an excellent opportunity for people to see what it can offer them. This will be a great time for people who have previously been too scared or embarrassed to visit the gym to drop in and look around.
¡°Wellington now has a top-class facility that can be used by all people with all levels of fitness,¡± Market Fitness proprietor Brett Conn said.
¡°We are able to tailor classes and workouts to individual needs. This is really important, as often people are too nervous to take that first step. Our philosophy is not to judge people, but to assist them to work at a pace at which they are comfortable.
¡°It does not matter how young or old you are or what shape you are in, fitness is the key to maintaining a healthy life. We encourage everyone to come along and see how much fun this can be.¡±
As part of the open day Market Fitness will be offering vouchers for a free workout of class, and there will be a lucky door prize of a six month membership. A ¡°heartsmart¡± sausage sizzle will also be provided on the day.
¡°We are hoping the whole community will get behind the open day and people will take the opportunity to visit the new-look facility, which has been revamped and upgraded since it changed its name from the RSL fitness centre,¡¯¡¯ Brett said. ¡°After all, only one visit can help you make a decision that could be life-changing.¡±
